Hello Guys,

I have used the search and read many articles regarding the problem I have. I am now looking for your expertise.

I recently purchased a 1993 Mustang GT with 32,000. The car is in excellent condition inside and out. During the past few weeks I noticed when I would attempt to start the car by turn the key with the clutch engaged it would do absolutely nothing.

I could then removed the key, let the clutch out and start over. Once I turned the key let the fuel pump engage and the car cycle through its normal process it would then fire?

I drove the car two days ago and it drove fine. Now when I attempt to start it, I only get one click from what appears to be the starter selenoid and nothing else. I had the battery checked an it falls within the normal range at Autozone and all the lights appear to be working well.

I went to Autozone to replace the starter selenoid and when I installed it (assuming I did it correctly) the car clicked once and then none of the electronics worked. The Autozone selenoid had two large post and two small post as were our cars only have the two large and one small post. Since then I removed the Autozone selenoid and replaced it with the original Ford selenoid I removed from the car?

This has moved me back to square one. When I attempt to start I only get one click and nothing more. The car never attempts to fire.

Help please, if not my next move is to have it towed to the local Ford Dealer and I do not trust the tow companies with this car.

All ideas are welcomed?

Do you have access to a volt meter? IF so check the voltage from posts to terminals!(opposite) that will tell if you have a connection problem!
Your lights have to have hardly any amperage to work so thats not always an answer!
