Retard timing
I live in California and can't have my timing advanced I guess because of emissions and I'm not sure how to retard it. Can someone help me out on this or tell me where I can find out? If it matters, its advanced 3 degrees.

See the bolt holding down the distributor?Loosen it up a bit not a lot just enough so that you can clock the distributor.Attatch your timing light plug your vacuum advance line if you have one and start the car and find out where youre at and adjust the three degrees clocking the distributor. Then reattatch your vacuum line and tighten the distributor back down and go for a ride.

Retard timing
I got an off topic question. I got a 2003 v6 and I put a cold air intake in it. It makes noise like a running faucet. Is that normal? I figured that it was just the air flowing through. Anyone who knows please email me back thanks!

Ya its normal...On my other mustang it did the same thing after time. I think whathappens is heat warped the inside just a little... enough to make that sound. I took off my induction to figure it out and heat had obviously takin its toll on it... It still worked fine, just made the noise.

Hope that helps..
