4cyl to v8 harness question.please help.
i had a question concerning this topic.i bought my first 4cyl yesterday.
i got a 1990 coupe 2.3 , i want to drop a 306 v8 that i ripped out of my 86 due to rust and rot .rotted away my whole car including strut towers.my 86 had the mass air conversion already, i never ever did a 2.3 to v8 swap so i will sound like a stranger to the topic please bare with my stupid questions.
1. can i use my dash harness out of the 1990 coupe and not rip dash apart to change it. ?
2 . can i go ahead and extend my distrubutor wires of the 4cyl harness so they can reach the other side where the dist is on v8and use them?
3.would i be able to plug the engine harness so from v8 to 4 cyl for injectors and such?
or do i have to buy a 1990 wireharness from 5.0 ..to mate it to the 1990 4 cyl dash harness?
this wiring is scaring me wondering if going carbed is gonna be an easier option,also wonder what would be the best route since im gonna be runing a single turbo set up?
also not sure but if i remember correctly the 2.3 looked like it had mass air also,not positive..
i also have a harness from my 87 hatch 5.0 .a a9p and a can i make this happen with what i have at home ,without having to go carb or buy another harness from a 1990, if i go carb then i wasted money on 42 lbs injectors and gt40 upper and lower..let me know i got a few bucks invested and a bunch of parts in my garage thanks.
