ok the fan does turn on a 210'f i read thats normal.. is it really? i also heard i can change the factory temp sensor to a lower temp so the fan will cut on earlier.. it does have a 180 thermostat in it.

what does it look like? where is it located? i replaced the coolent sensor on that cooling rail on the left above the thermostat... but it didnt say what temp it was or an option for a cooler one.. id like my fan to come on at maybe 200 and shut off at 190. but seems to do just fine at 210.

The sensor on the coolant tube that runs along the intake manifold is the engine coolant sensor that provides feedback to the computer which controls the fan via the ccrm. From what you describe, the system is now functioning normally. The fan will also shut off when the vehicle speed is above 48 mph. I know of no sensor that has a different temp rating. Just watch your temp gauge, you will see when the fan reduces the temp reading and hear when it comes on. It's hard to trust it after working on it for all that time, My time came when I was stuck in traffic for an hour and a half at 80 degrees. The fan kept batting the gauge back down though.
