Default firewall adjuster

I recently purchased a clutch cable, quadrant, and firewall adjuster for my 93 mustang. The car that im putting it into is a shell and im building it from ground up. Ive never owned a 5 speed before so therefore I am not sure as to how to install the firewall adjuster. Do I need to put a hole in the firewall for it? There isnt a hole there so im not sure where to put it.

It goes in right where your clutch cable routes through on the upper portion of the firewall.

Default firewall adjuster

The car was originally an automatic. The only hole that I saw was for the speedo cable

OK, my car was an auto previously and when I did the conversion I had to move the speedometer cable to the left where you will see a plugged hole in the firewall. If the conversion was done right the cable should be there leaving you with the hole to the right (previously your speedo cable hole). That is where the clutch cable/firewall adjuster is installed. I have one on mine from my conversion I did last summer. If your speedometer cable has not been moved to the left, then you need to do this first then install the adjuster in the old speedo cable hole.

Thanks. That was a big help. This is the first time im doing a conversion so I still have a lot to learn. When you did your conversion did you have to change your computer? Some people tell me i need to change it and others say that I dont.

No you definitely do not have to change your computer the auto one will work fine. Did mine and it worked perfectly. Also use this info it is great and its what I used to do my conversion. It's everything you need to know/do for the conversion.
