i just install a new fuel pump and dist. car(1989) fired right up after sitting for a year(new gas) and it just quit. now it has no spark at coil, replaced coil still no spark? also now the dome light stays on...wuz up with it?

 

it ran for about 10mins before it cut off....

 

No spark at coil has 3 ultimate endings: TFI, PIP, ECM. Mix in the odd wiring flaw.
TFI & PIP are both covered under having a new dist. One of them could have died, though. What brand dist?

 

damn advance auto dist. i think i'm going to reinstall the old one

 

How are the connections to the dizzy?
