Default Oil O ring

took my car to firestone ('90 GT) for an oil change and afterwards he tells me i need oil O rings? what are those and their purpose? and could this be the reason my underboby is caked in oil?

oil o-rings? wtf?? get a second opinion ........ as for your underneath being caked in oil, could be rear main seal, front seal, oil pan gasket, head gasket leaking oil, valve covers leaking, intake end seals leaking, p/s leaking , ect ect pick one.......clean motor down and see where leaks reappear

Maybe by o-ring he actually meant rear main seal.
