Question Mexican 302 block

Wondering if anyone can tell me if I can use a mexican 302 block from the 70's in an EFI application? I've read and heard in the past that they are a beefier stronger casting than the production blocks of the foxbodys..is it a roller block?

They didn't start using roller blocks until 85.

it's not a roller block but can be use in roller apps. it has more nickle in the iron...making it more desirable

I don't have the referance with me right now but it clearly stated that there was no more nickel in those blocks than in the US made ones. The referance was from Ford Motor Company.
Hope you didn't pay any extra money for 'Hecho En Mexico'......

ALL HEARSAY......................THE REAL REASON is there is more material in the main webbing/ under the crank as well as main bolt holes are not open but solid making it stronger in the area where sbf typically split the block in two.

the mexican blocks also have thicker main caps just like the old HP 289 blocks. and they are stronger then the roller blocks by far. I have seen many cars with the blocks in them running in the 9s for years but just like any other stock type block get the tune off and it will pop
