Default Oil pump change

I'm going to be changing out the oil pump today or tomorrow. the guy that sold me the block a year back told me the engine has a 331 stroker kit. hard to believe since i didn't feel much power difference from previous 302 block.

when i remove the oil pan. what do i look for that would tell me that its a 331 or 302?

Well..... I'd think there would be a new crankshaft if it did have a stroker kit. Most stroker cranks will be bright silver like stainless steel. The stock crank is blackish cast metal. This is all still guesswork. The above post is a more sure fire answer.
