Multifunction switch BS
Something must have changed with the wiring that goes to the multifunction switch only when they built my particular car. I have gone through many a switch and I can't seem to find one that works.
The problem is that the wiring on my harness is always a different configuration on the yard cars I find, even ones of the same year.
This is what the back of my hiring harness looks like:

And this is what the back of the other harnesses I find in the junkyard look like:

Any ideas?

Update: I managed to locate the correct switch. Now the wipers work fine on high and low settings, except for 2 minor details.
1 The intermittent section doesn't work correctly. If I turn the switch to intermittent, the wipers operate continually on low setting, regardless of what speed is selected.
2 The wipers don't stop in the off location when I turn them off. The just stop in the middle of the windshield. Related to this, pushing in on the end of the switch is supposed to trigger the washer and the wipers, for a few swipes, then the wipers are supposed to stop at the bottom of the swing in the off location. The wipers stop wherever.
Which relays and circuit boxes govern the intermittent settings and make the wipers stop at the bottom of their swing?

There's a wiper control module in the dash somewhere near the left side of the gauges, according to Alldata. Good luck finding a replacement.
Motor stopping where it wants could be the motor itself or the module.

If this is the wiper module, I have had several in and out of the car after trying and failing to figure out that the multi switches I kept switching into my car were made for different years of Mustang.
Maybe it's the wrong year module, or it's the motor itself...

After digging around on google a bit, that is definitely the intermittent wiper relay for a number of years and models. I have had two of these in and out since getting the correct switch, and they don't seem to solve the issue.
I guess the next step is to get a wiper motor and see if that is the problem.

Motor was the problem. I went through about 10 of those relays with no joy. Today I snagged a pretty fresh motor from the yard, and it has no problem with the intermittent function, and as an added bonus, I can't even hear the thing running from inside the car. Now I have to paint the damned thing.
Now all thats left on my to do list from things that have been bugging me for the better part of 5 years is getting the horn working. It got stuck on for a couple hours when I was out kyaking, and when I got back, it didn't work, and other beachgoers were nearly in a lynching mood... :P Are any of the fusible links connected to the horn circuit? The fuse in the panel is good.

Yellow/light green wire from steering wheel is the horn relay trigger wire, check that for 12v with button pressed.
Horn relay is "Behind I/P, Near Cluster", has 3 wires, Yellow/Light green(trigger wire), Dark green(out to horns), Light green/white(in from fuse).
If relay is switching, Dark blue should be hot with horn button depressed.
If all this ^^ is true, then horns are dead.
