Default RE: safe to run a 6lb blower??

Seanjohn,

My stock gaskets have taken the compression well with just 6 lbs of boost.
I have taken it to redline on several occasions, including 6 hard quarter mile runs at the track.
I have close to 90k miles on the car, maybe about 17k miles with the blower in it.

The day I went to get my car dyno-tuned, the guy before me had a 94gt also.
He did the heads and intake and an open exhaust with no cats (loud as hell) and produced 240 HP at the wheels.

Just to reiterate I went from 215 to 342 BHP on a completely stock engine with a 50 state legal exhaust.
This is good for me because they are now testing for emissions in my state.

I am not sure if this car is quicker than my 05 STi. My dad and I want to take them to the track and see.
I think it will be a close match... the Subaru off the line, the Mustang running it down after that.

I was hoping you would respond to this, and you did Damn that's really impress if you make 342 crank hp. I'm definitely going to save up for the 6lb blower. Other than that definitely going to get an aftermarket fuel pump, and probably a fluidyne radiator just to be safe, but thanks for the info. Now i'm pretty confident it will hold up lol. How much did that spec stage 2 clutch cost you and where did you get it from?

not familiar with that shop. i know where temecula is just never heard of the shop. i have my car tuned at swanson's in torrance.
dont get the underdrives if your getting the sc. i have my underdrives listed on ebay right now because they wont work with the sc. the sc i got came with a crank pulley that was for both the main belt and the 8 rib sc. the underdrive waterpump pulley was too big and i stopped using the alt pulley when i got a 150amp alternator.

I think the Spec Stage II was around $300, plus I opted for the lightweight option for an additional $79.
