I have an 88 5.0 HO that will not start. I have replaced Coil, cap, button, and complete distributor including TFI module. If I take off the coil wire from distributor and ground it it throws good sparks. If I plug it back to distributor I get fire to only cyl #8. I have been messing with this for days and I am lost!!! Help.........

Have you moved that wire to a different spot on the dizzy to see if it fires from there.
Also verify the dizzy is spinning. Also is this a new dizzy or used one.

I havent moved the wire. I will try that tomorrow but the dist is brand new. Also I noticed that the 2 wires on the coil both tested hot, but when you pull the clip off of coil and test the wires, the red one is hot and the green one isn't. So that means the current runs thru the coil and into the green wire.

Considering what you've replaced, I'd say the computer is gone.
