I recently installed a GT bumper cover on my 91 2.3L due to the stock lx cover being trashed. Now the car runs alot hotter than it did with the lx front. Is there anyway to increase airflow thru these covers to the radiator.

Im posting here cause there aint alot of 2.3L's with gt bumper covers.

 

you need to make sure the air deflector shield under the bumper is in place and that no pieces were left off. that seal the air dam to the radiator and that condensor is clear and free of debris and or any obstruction

 

I completely removed the a/c system and closed off the opening between the bumper cover and the lower core support beam with a panel so the air doesnt escape under the car.

 

i would remove what you added and see if it improves.. the airdam is there to direct more airflow and youve blocked off the opening where it forces air into..

 

The bottom "grill" area is open. I basically put in the bottom of an air box. This was after cooling issues with just the bumper cover.
