Default Suspension compatibility

As far as I knew suspension was interchangeable from 79-04. I need shocks and springs BAD for my 94, I found a cheap kit but it says 87-93. Now I'm fairly confident it should work I just want to double check.

Never mind. Couldn't wait to long had to order what I needed so I can install and have the car aligned Thursday. Ordered everything separate so I knew it all would fit.

Rear lower control arms have 14mm bolts on the 99-04 and 12mm on 79-98. I think the shocks are the same, springs may have different rates on them. Other than that i would think they are the same.

Yeah, I remember the control arm difference. I was shopping for shocks/struts and springs. I had heard something about the springs rates on the foxes being softer but I figure aftermarket springs for a fox would be at least the same as sn-95 factory. What I ended up getting was sr springs and gr2's. Also got prothane bushings for the front end. Hopefully it all comes in by Wednesday morning so I can have it all installed and ready for my alignment/exhaust appointment Thursday.

I was mostly unsure of the shocks/struts, I thought they were the same 79-04 but the different generations called for different part numbers for the same model struts so I ended up taking the safe road and spending a bit more cash :-/

from what I have heard the fox body struts/shocks are about an inch or so shorter than the sn-95. supposed to be better on a lowered sn-95
