Default Ignition cowl removal

Could anyone assist.

I want to get the steering cowl off my 94 but the upper one is won't come off because of the ignition key bezel is in the way. How do you get the bezel off, so that I can remove the cowl.

Bezel I would call it, but it's the bit the key goes into and you turn to start.

Cheers.

doesn't yours have the 2 halves? Upper and lower sections held together by 2 screws. If you have a tilt wheel you will have to raise steering wheel to get bottom section off and then lower the wheel to get top section off. Your ignition switch should not be holding anything.

I will have another look, but I struggled to remove the upper over the key bezel.

If you need to, just remove the key cylinder. Underneath there will be a small hole, about half the diameter of a pencil. Turn the key to the ON position, then jam a small hex key or screwdriver into the hole to depress the locking mechanism, hold that and pull outwards on the key. Whole cylinder should come out.

Yeah I have seen that, thanks I will have a go at that. I didn't want to go and bust something.
