Everything worked out great. The nice thing about using the 94/95 parts is you are upgrading the front brakes as well.
Dont mean to hijack, but did you need any adapters for the brake lines?

Glad I found this thread, I was going to try the ranger rotors on my 84 GT.
Is it MK7 or 8 rotors that are a bolt on and what years fit?

Thanks for clarifying that. I was pretty sure it was the 7 but I keep seeing posts about the mk8.

Since there is a thread-jack in process, isn't it advisable to jump to 94+ spindles for the advantage of jumping to 13" cobra brakes?

(That's my plan... I have a full setup looted from a '95 V6)

the SN95 setup is better and easier when you service brakes since the rotors are separate from the hub imho

Yep.. That too!!!

So... Cobra brakes and 4x4 style discs... Well worth the trip to the junk yard if you're in the market for a 5 lug swap!

I upgraded to 2000 spindles and twin piston brakes five years ago for like 175 I think. eBay with spindles and loaded calipers.

To whomever asked about the brake line adapters, if you use the SN95 calipers you will need the brake line adapter for the passenger side I think. I can't remember atm but it's only one side for some reason and very easy to get.

I have not been on for a while, so sorry for the delay but yes, you do need an adapter for only the passengers side brake line. You can get it from Advance Auto, as it is nothing special. It just converts the threads to the correct size. I do not remember off hand what sizes it was, but if you take both the old and new line to the parts store, you'll get it figured out.
