Default Fuel Pump Help

Hi everyone im new to the forum. Recently I installed a new Mallory Comp 140 fuel pump. The pump worked before it was installed. After mounting and so forth i went to run the car and i did not hear the pump turn on. Ive got power and the + and - wires that connect to the pump. Any ideas?

If you have power at the plug on the top of the tank but the car wont start and you don't hear the pump prime , then I would suspect the pump is either no good or the wires inside the tank that the pump plugs into are not connected.

well the stock fuel pump lines are no longer used, does that mean the circuit is not in use as well? the pump is an aftermarket external.

So how do you have it wired?
Is it wired to come on when the key is on?

Are you sure its not working? external pumps need to be primed to get the air out and they can take a few min . If you have a leak any where in the line before the pump coming from the tank it will not prime at all it will just suck air.

The pump now works and car runs. The only issue now is that the fuel pump is constantly on?
