I think the difference in mileage would be minimal. They're mustangs anyway, not really known for fuel economy lol

The only time mine gets good gas mileage is sitting in my driveway, lol

Nah it does pretty good on the interstate in 5th cruising 70 it gets about 20mpg
That's if I leave the cruise on.

I don't know about town driving because Im sure it would get better if I stayed out of the throttle. I just cant do it.

Hey while I've got you guys on my thread and so I don't have to start a new one I just have a quick question regarding my transmission. It's a 5 spd and when I bought it 5th gear didn't work as in when I put it in 5th all it did was rev then engine. Well now 2nd does the same thing and 3rd is tough to put the shifter into. While putting it in 3rd it seems the longer I hold the clutch in before trying to then the easier it is??? Any ideas on whether I need new gear, rebuild, or what. Thanks! ~Q

You need to rebuild it. Or find a new one.

if you can rebuild it yourself, look for another , heck even if you can, I can gaurantee with all the seperate issues that tranny has, parts alone IMO will make it not worth fixing, If I have to spend more than 500 in parts on a stock t-5, I junk them
