block casting
when I was changing the starter today I saw my block was stamped e7teca with a 30 above and an S below. I guess ford had a lot of 87 blocks...lol

Not to mention that block was designated Light truck/bronco.
The T is the designator.

that's right! what about the 30 & the S? they were stamped vertically.

That I couldn't tell you, likely some kind of way for ford to know who and what machine did the machine work to it, but its hard to say...

e7te block = nothing special and no it does not have strength in crucial areas, you want that, go dart block
