Are adj. clutch cables a pain in the A**?
I have heard that if you get an adjustable cable, it's a hassle later on if it loses adjustment? Someone told me about this and recommended that I keep my stock one and buy a quadrant and firewall adjuster?

No it won't but a non locking firewall adjuster will lose adjustment after awhile...but upr make's a locking style firewall adjuster and so far i've heard good things about it.

i guess if loosening 1 nut and then adjusting another is a pain in the ***...then yes. but usually anything that is under 5 minutes i consider pretty ****in ez
but thats just me.
whoever told u that might not like any type of labor or jobs where you get dirty hands.

You are absolutely right. My friend who told me this, doesn't even check oil himself on his 5.0. It not that he has money to pay someone, he is a lazy-A** person. Anyway, where is that bolt/nut located so I can adjust it?

lay on the ground at about the door / fender seam (drivers side) and slide under.....you'll see a threaded shaft w/ 1 or 2 lock nuts on it.
been a couple years but i think you need 1/2" and 7/16" wrenches
try to get it so when you release the pedal it starts to engage at about 1 1/2" off the floor
might feel funny , but thats where it should be .... not counting break in for a new clutch you really don't need to adjust more than once a year tops
i never used a firwall adjuster b4...but i just figured why complicate something pretty simple.

I have a grantetelli adjustable cable and quadrent, and both nuts are 1/2 inch.
the tranny has a small cover on the drivers side of the bellhousing, you need to take that off first, there is only 1 bolt a 5/16" then you can adjust the cable.
its just like the stock cable, but it has a threaded end on it to adjust it.
the quadrent, on the other hand, is a pain in the as$ to change. mine took about 45 minutes of struggling with the old stock piece.
