I would not run that cam in a carbureted set up, it is designed for a computer controlled car with EFI.

cam p/n 35-310-8

Its not specifically designed just for efi , it is just efi friendly.

It will work just fine. The cam doesn't know if its efi or carb , it still does the same task.

I know the heads are a little small that is why I chose the cam I did. It should have a ton of low end power and pull hard until about 5800rpm. I am going to break it in and play with it a bit then add a novi root style supercharger with 6-8 pounds of boost.
I figured if I boost it a little I will no longer be limited by a smaller head flow, at this time I may add a larger carb as well.
let me know how much power at the rear wheels it makes when boost is added..........bet it'll be nowhere near where it should be with that jumbled combo, expecially **** poor cam choice for a stroker. good luck

Mjr46,
I changed my cam selection to the motor sports x303, I an not financially impaired. I have no problem spending the money. I just don't want to waste what I already have.

I am open to recommendations and the reasoning behind them. I have contacted two different cam suppliers about custom grinds and both were less than helpful. I understand they have put years into their work. I appreciate their knowledge and want to use them but I am not going to make an order and give a cc number with no idea of what direction it will go.
$300-$400 for a cam is no biggie. I'm happy to pay it but with added price I want the customer service too. Something the guys out their I have contacted lack. If I have issues before I buy, how is gonna be once my product is done and I have questions?

BTW, let me know how that 10:1 compression works out with that blower.

You can call bullet cams if you want, they have been helpful and friendly before.

You should not run a blower or supercharger on a 10:1 engine without heavy mods and high octane gas at the very least.

If you need to reduce compression and you already have the parts you can buy thicker head gaskets from Cometic.

if you're gonna choose letter cams, the best one for boost vs going custom would be the f-cam. It actually works well, also, if I were you I'd of stuck with a 302 short block instead of stroker. a boosted 302 will easily be capable of stout numbers and as tinman stated your 331 won't be as compression friendly for boost. so you may want to rethink some things, either run low boost and meth set up together, I run a boosted 306 on 12 lbs with meth and ran out of injector before it made 556
