Ladder bars on a 1986 Gt mustang
I have a 1986 GT Mustang five speed and I wanted to install a pair of bolt on old school Lakewood ladder bars. I'm getting ready to install heavy duty frame rail connectors and could come up with a bracket to connect the front, back just bolts around the axle housing. I know I can install them I guess I just wanted to know if they will help. PS: the car is basically stock other than exhaust, 373 gears. Thanks.

These control arms bolt directly in and they'll improve your traction situation:

Well, you said it's a basically stock '86, which means ~200hp.
UPR Pro Series suspension and 26x10 Mickey Thompson ET Drag slicks would absolutely dead hook that car no matter how hard you try to launch it.
