Default Switch to synthetic?

Just got my stang, 125k on motor. Want to switch to synthetic. Should I do a regular oil change and see if I'm burining any first? I don't think I am. Car is very clean and doesn't smoke. What should I do?

If your burning or have blow by i think its better to use 10w-40 regular oil, but you can run synthetic if you want, it won't hurt the motor or anything.

You can switch if you want, but you might exprience some leaks. Although 10w-30 convention and synth weigh the same synth is thinner. The seals on a car with that mileage will hold better with conv.
