Default Power Steering Q

Heres the thing, Im building a 331. Its going to be basically built to the max but it will be drivin on the street pretty often (2 or 3 times a week). But its going to be basically setup for the strip. Im considering if I should remove the PS unit and swapping it out for a flamming river manual rack. Ive heard from people that its not that hard to drive on the street but than Ive heard the oppositve. Yes, my car is going to be a drag car but I would like to enjoy in on the street. I want a mix between both but just more towards a pure race car. Should I remove it? What are the advantages of it?

i have the manual rack in a light fox. as for moving stang around its not that bad. driving it i dunno but just pushing the car its fairly easy to steer it. thats with 235s up front

plus youll save some good weight. with the front end lighter the wheels will turn easier. doesnt seem like much but the ps pump and rack are heavy
