So i just replaced the clutch in my 1993 mustang and the car drove fine had all gears but when i got home my car was leaking trans fluid used mercon/dexron
checked the leak and took out the fill plug to see how much fluid i lost after replacing the fill plug i lost reverse and 5th gear and have no idea what happened

Just to clarify, the shifter goes into gear (5th and reverse), but letting the clutch out, nothing at all ???

No noise or slight grinding at all ?

are you sure you pulled the fill plug?

here is a better pic of what not to remove, if u removed the worg plug, the trans has to be taken apart to reposition a shift for or 2

I figured out the problem thank you all for replying I removed the reverse plug and the arm disconnected I have pulled the trans spit it and put the pin back in place getting ready to replace the trans

time consuming, but at least its a cheap fix
