I probably should sell my car, but I don't know if I can. I was wondering if anyone knew of some good parts i could get for cheap for a engine rebuild, while still passing CA emissions.

Best thing I can think of is search around in a scrap yard and find a used one from a totaled car, you can usually get a prett good deal on them

try craigslist.com maybe they can help you out. What part of Cali you are from? if so, try this other site pacificaperformance.com and get the tel number and ask for Dan, he is the owner of MAC (well the son of the owner), he is pretty cool.
If not then hit the junkyards and remember that ebay is your friend. Good luck and by the way I am in SOCAL near Riverside and work in San Diego.
