Default t-5

I have a 1987 5.0 fox that I just tore up the tranny in. I have a guy with a 1989 thunderbird with a t-5 he wants to sell me. Will they interchange WITHOUT modifications? I know I should be upgrading tranny's since this will be the 5th change out but never can get up the money for a better tranny at the time. So I will put another one in and change it again later.

Thank you

Have you looked into ordering upgraded parts for your T-5? There are companies that can help you build a robust T-5 that will handle some serious abuse.

If you can't afford that make sure you pick up a "World Class" T-5.

Here is some useful information on the T-5 transmission.
