Dont quote me on this but I was told that for every gear ration you go up in your RPM's will increase by 200. So if you are on the highway and usuall cruise at 2,200 you will be up to 2,400 if you went up one ratio. If you go too big they will def. kill your gas milage but its sooo worth it

ok... i was thinkin over the weekend. if i were to do this, is there a tranmission, maybe a 6 speed that has a really low overdrive gear. i was thinkin since i need a new one anyways get one to help compensate for the higher gears.

if i were to do this i would still want to keep the gears i have right now but have a low od gear. is this possible?

6 speed cars have 2 OD gears

if you only get 16mpg in a fox with273 your car is in poor running shape

and your car can be considerd stock. a CAI and exhaust isnt much really.

i used to get 14 before i got the CAI and the full exhaut with the O/R pipe

it's not much, and like said b4....looks like you do a lot of city driving...it might go up....you'll be using higher gears more often

yea i did casue with the exhaust there's less restriction and the CAI help the air flow better too so the engine doesn't work as hard
