Default SR Performance 75mm throttle body question

Hello,

New member here with a question regarding the fit of an SR Performance 75mm TB on my ‘94 GT.

I attempted installing the TB and noticed the IAC valve does not line up with the mounting point on the throttle body. It appears the throttle body ports are offset and the ports on the IAC symmetrical.

The unit itself came with two gaskets: one that is symmetrical to the ports and one that is offset. If I were to mount the IAC, there would likely be some obstruction with either gasket I used.

My question is if this unit I have will work with my ‘94 Mustang GT. If so, is there anything additional I need to purchase to make it work? One person said they might be offset due to the increased air flow to maintenance consistently with the stock IAC valve?

I have read through the feedback/reviews on this item and one person also had this issue (see pic below). Another person posted the same question on the AM YouTube video (no response).

I’ve included pictures of the throttle body design I have & what is shown in the AM how-to video. I also attached a picture of throttle body on the AM website (different port design). Finally, I provided a picture of the ports on the IAC valve.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Update:

AM responded to my concerns and said the offset ports are designed that way to allow for the increased airflow of the larger throttle body.

Just wanted to follow up in case someone else had the same concerns.

hey there. How did this throttle body turn out with having offset holes? Which gasket did you use as well? I ask because I may buy one tomorrow but I too noticed the iac ports being offset...

hello...Throttle body worked fine with no idle issues, etc. I don’t recall which gasket I ended up using but it was definitely one that was included with the TB. I believe my reasoning was to use the gasket that had the least amount of obstruction between the two mating surfaces.

I have since sold the car but I do believe I have the old TB and unused gaskets. I can check later today if you want.

hope this helps!
