i got mine when i was 16 mostly thought becuase i paid for it, i did wreck it within my first month(slid it into something) had to replace some stuff(front clip, fender) wasnt fun but it was a learning experiance and notihng has happened to it since then, i wouldnt know what to tell your son is he the type of guy who would goof off with it or will he be responsible if he goofs of alot i wouldnt get him it untill he gets used to driving more

If it helps you choose, I drive a 5.0 at the age of 17, Ive had it since I was 16 earlier this year. It runs 14.5 and lower once i get my engine trouble figured out.

Hell I love it to death and its the car for me. If your son has the least bit of resonsibility then hell be fine with it. I drive a lil fast but nothing major.

Although maybe if I can sell this paintball gear and I throw nitrous in it things will change.

If hes not a real big car guy, See if you can get him a 94/95 5.0 manual. Yes, Its hard to be that specific on a car, but even if he doesnt get it right when hes 16 or right away, hell be so much more thankful than if it was automatic, or v-6. If he just digs cars, any 5.0 manual will be great.

Then I notice you have a 92, if you get him a 94/95 Im sure hell rub it in your face about the SN95 body style, but itd be worth it

to help them give it respect instead of buying it for them. let them pay half or so for it. that way it's partly theirs too. that's what mine did... look how i turned out. (don't answer that)
