Default RE: Throttle body makers

Professional products throttle bodies work just as good as the rest of them. ITs just a name that your paying for with those others. My dad put one on his 86 GT and he put the professional product intake on his car and it picked up over half a second. Thats pretty good for simple bolt ons. I even put one on my 95 GT and it hasent given me any problems. About the whistling problem mine didnt do it but i know you can drill a hole in the butterfly(the circle thing) and that will sometimes fix it, it even helped my car idle better because it would surge because of my cam.

From reading this thread, looks to me like you should get an accufab. I have a BBK and I love it but I also know people w/ accufab's and have NOTHING bad to say about them.
