I have a 92 notch with black ponys with 245 24 on the back right now, bit i want to get new rims, like 17, but i need to know whats the biggest tire i can fit on the back with out rubbing, and what kinda off set works the best. and whats the biggest size tires you can fit on ponys. I need more hook up for the races this summer i need to hit the 12s but i dont want to have slicks, i want somthing i can just keep on.

 

well 17's aren't going to help as you have less sidewall..... you could get a pair of 10 hole with some et street 26 x 10's

 

i have seen guys that do the 5 bolt convertion and have a 17 inch cobra rim with 275 on the back it looks sweet. how can they fit that big of a tire.

 

I run 275/40-17 BFG'S on the back of my stang with 93 cobra replica's and they fit great with the quads flipped and they clear my 2 1/2 in. tail pipes fine.

 

On my Dad's '93 GT, he's using in the rear 285/40-17.

 

whats the widest tire u can fit with aftermarket upper and lower control arms? i would like to fit a 275 or 285 on a cobra rim

 

You could probaly fit a 285 with the quads gone,and i do have upper and lowers but i chosed to keep my quads.

 

do you ever rub? cause im buyin wheels and tires and control arms in about two weeks and i wanna put 285's on it in the back and 245 on the front...

 

did he have to do any changes to make them fit
