Default I want to steam my engine

do i have to tie anything off to steam my engine? it was spitting oil but now i fixed it. There is still all oil all over and it burns off and smokes like a bitch. can i just steam the engine AS IS? or do i have to disconnect any hoses or anythig like that..

watch the electrical connections and the dizzy especially. take some tire shine the silicone stuff and spray under your dizzy before you steam and after you steam. Keeps moisture out.

Dizzy is Distributor and its right square in front of your intake manifold, I would get some varsol and rub it down rather than steam cleaning... But thats me even a high pressure HOT water gun is better......Just let it sit for a half day after your done washing let everything dry real nice.

dizzy=distributor. Ya know that funky looking thing that your plug wires connect to.

just use a pressure washer, it wont hurt any of the electrical or anything, just dont spray directly at the distributor and it will get clean.

if you do get water in the distribtor, use some water displacing type of spray, like brake cleaner, or electrical contact cleaner.
make sure it dries before you start it as it might light on fire.
