my car is showing that its going around 15 mph faster then what its actually moving at. i was told to get a number off my tranny and just change this like small gear thing in it so itll match up fine?</P>


can anyone clarify this for me? and/or tell me where the number is on it?</P>


is it under the boot thing near the shifter in the car?</P>


or do i need to get underneath it or something</P>

your wheels are turning more than stock at any given speed, you need the proper speedo gear to compensate...

for 410s youll need a white gear. i pick it up from a ford dealer for 20bucks. they didnt have ford ones so i had to pay for the aftermarket one

thats what its called and my problem should be fixed?</P>


because like every 16 miles i travel the odometer is reading it as like 20 something</P>


so im really raking up miles nice n quick</P>

yea before my gear i was doing 50 and it said 70 when i did 100 it pegged

Just asking. Because the gears throws your speedo off. The fast yuo are going, the more the speedo is off.</P>
