ECU question...
My brother bought an ECU off Ebay for his Mustang. He is needing a computer from a Cobra since he's upgrading injectors. The code on the one he ordered is A3M. His stock ECU code is A9L. Aren't the Cobra ECUs' code X3Z? He hooked his new one up and it didn't work, ran like ****. Just seeing if anybody knows for sure that this is not a Cobra ECU so he can try to get his money back. TIA.

RE: ECU question...
You should'nt have to upgraded the computer to get the car to run good with 24's,did you get a calibrated maf???Also what is all done to the car?And the 93 cobra computer is a x3z..Also the a3m is just a 93 5.0 computer, and the a9l is the best factory ecu to run anyways since most 93 cobra guys doing big mods actually switch to the a9l and pickup power and driveabiltiy...

RE: ECU question...
Interesting. Yes, my brother did get a new MAF, grannatelli 70 mm. Perhaps they sent the wrong one or it was calibrated wrong.
Here's the specs on the car: 89 mustang lx with an 87 302 efi motor. Car has long tube headers, flomaster exhaust, pulleys, 1.7 roller rockers, 65mm throttle body, fuel regulater, upper and lower cobra intake, intake spacer, K&n intake. I think that about covers it.
