Default Block identification-what year is my 302?

Ok I recently bought a '90 LX that was supposed to have a 92 engine and transmission. However now after stripping the block down and looking at the transmission tag I have my doubts. The tranny tag code is 1352-184 and when I looked that up it says it came from a 1988 Ford Sierra 2.0 L4 Turbo. So now I have my doubts about the block as well. I haven't found anywhere good on the web that explains the casting numbers for these blocks so I am looking to you guys for a little help. The only numbers I found on the block were:
24
E6SE
BA

Now some sites I have been to says it could be a 91-93 block, other sites I have been to points more like it came from a 86 thunderbird. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Judging by the E6 number, it's an 86 block, unfortunately. Unless it has been rebuilt than it doesn't have valve reliefs so you can't run a different cam or heads. I've never heard of a Ford Sierra...

Well it had been rebuilt less than 5,000 miles ago with several aftermarket items added. I am just looking to use the bare block and rebuild a whole new motor when the time comes. It had 10:1 compression and I am looking to run lower compression in order to run more boost.
So if it is an '86 block, what are the differences, if any, between them and the newer blocks?
BTW thanks for the wuick reply

this block has 3 X's on both sides of the block under the lower intake. It also has the ford logo in the center with SB on one end and 24 on the other end

Yep, 86 block. It'll probably be ok, just pull a head and check things out real carefully..........

the 86 blocks had no valve reliefs in the pistons, and the heads are crapy.

my 82 capri had an 84 block, it had three x's on each side of the lifter valley.
and 84 in the middle with the ford logo.

my 91 motor has a ford logo, and the 3 x marks are tight together in the middle of the lifter valley,on each side, and it has a 5.0L too.
this is the first block I have seen that actually says 5.0L

it's already been stripped down to the bare block, the block itself looks real good so I'll prolly end up using it

This motor had aftermarket pistons in it and I believe newer heads. If I remember correctly the heads had E7TE on them, but I'd have to double check.

the e7te heads are from 87-93 mustangs, they are decent if you port them, and get rid of that exhaust bump in there.
