When i drive at any speed and step on the gas my car will begin to bog and surge repetedly untill it stalls. and i put the car in nuetral and try to start it wile im still rolling and it wont turn over i allways have to put it in gear and jump it??? this is my first ford and forum and my last hope. for saving money. any way i have just bought it and i ran seafoam through the brake booster and then changed the oil. i noticed that when its cold out side yuo can see a lot more exhaust out of the right side than the left: so any ideas help needed asap. Try checking all the normal first. Distribitor cap, spark plugs and wires and go from there. Will it rev up fine in nutral? Maybe even fuel filter.

First you should unplug you TP sensor and try to start. If it starts replace it or referr to a thread here about re-adjusting them.

It sounds like the rolling idle problem you need to clean these parts

IAC
MAF
PCV Screen

You should replace the

PCV valve

All these parts are part of the idle problems you are having. Also when is the last time you have had a tuneup on the car. You may need to do that too

Have you checked the batteryand alternator? If the voltage is low (engine won't turn over) the electronics will not work correctly which could cause your issues.

what should i use to clean the IAC, and MAF with sorry if I seem un educated i am just new to ford I do have an OK education when it comes to working on chevy's but I do thank you for the help and I am allways open for suggestions and hints.

hey man thanks for helping me. I am new to trying to get this old of a car to run right so what does the TP looklike and where is it .
