If you need a balancer let me know. I believe I still have my stock one in my garage.

You can get ones that are different colors and ones with timing marks that are easier to read than others, but otherwise you can't really get a "high performance" balancer.

If your balancer was loose wouldnt it cause you engine to vibrate like crazy?

i dont know about the fox bodys but the 1st gen stangs the balencer is two pieces with a rubber ring sandwiched in between them and the outer ring can slip causing minor imbalence and the timing marks to be off and u can get a high performance balancer ex fluidampner 1 piece fluid filled for balence!

I believe so. I know that it prevents torque spikes in the motor. Im not really too familiar w/ any other purpose besides that.
