Default forged internals...stock....what

OK i know that this question has probly been ask before but i am new to the forum.
is it true that 88-93 or even 87-93 foxbody has stock forged internals if it is true how much nitrous can they handle.also i know the best gear for the 4.6 mustang is a 4.10 does that stil remain true for the 5.0

'93's didnt have forged, they had cast pistons and arent great for power adders
forged pistons will handel alot if you have a good tune w/ nitrous
but remember a stock 5.0 is only good to around 600 hp and thats pushing it

The 87-92 cars had forged pistons only, everything else is normal.....

+1. The rods are still cast iron and are the weak link. You would still need to beef the block up a bit before some major power adders are added.

There a few who say to go ahead and do 4.10's in the 5.0. If you're going to be driving on the freeway a lot, I would recommend 3.73's or 3.55's.

My buddy ran a 150 shot on a stock 5.0 with over 150k miles....it blew the rubber tube off the h pipe that comes from the smog pump...but other than that okay...for now lol....but remeber you need to retard your timing and go to a colder spark plug when running nitrous...among other things that would help .
