Default Question about alternator

Yea I did do the splicing of the stock wires like the directions said and that helped with the startup but it is still draining a lot of power even when I'm driving if I turn on a couple things at once such as the heater and lights or heater and blinker, etc...

Default Question about alternator

there has to be a bad connection somewhere whether its a loose wire or what not, i had a similar problem in my winter car with my system but my problem was with lights n sytem an ish it would overloaded the alternator and bend my pulley if your serious about a system invest in a quality capacitor to only supply juice to the system when it needs it so it doesnt put extra work on the alternator let me know how you make out

Default Question about alternator

I actually have a nice power capacitor, but the problem is the stereo isn't even in the car and it is still doing this.

Default Question about alternator

well there are 2 ways to do it... if you drive up there they can test how many amps your alt. is giving off while your car is running ect... or if you take it you and there they can test if its plainly good or bad.
