my car will idle from 500 to 2000 then after a while it will cut out i cleaned the idle and tb and all 2day when changing my lifters i did do away with the lil flex line from the vac canister would this be the problem i just unpluged it from the intake do i need this should i block it off instead off just leaving it open should i get a new iac

 

sounds exactly what my car was doing, but now it starts, runs for about 4 seconds and dies out.let me know what ur problem was,late.

 

my car would do the same exact thing....I changed the idle air in front of the manifold but it kept doing the same thing...check your vacuum hoses...there is one connected to the front of the manifold by the distributor...I changed that and it runs perfectly now....

 

yea is that the vacuum hose that goes to the charcol canister? i take me idle air control off and block it off with a peice of metal and it will run fine
