Default engine bolts for stand

i orderd universal bolts from jegs so i can mount my engine on my stand, the bolts are long enough but there the wrong size. i was trying to bolt it on to where the trany bolts on, do i have to mount it another way or get diff bolts? if so where can i get some. ive tryed the local parts stores and hardware stores but no luck and these were the only ones i could find on jegs and summit.

match up your trans bolts at the auto parts store, or you could match them up at home depot. just get longer ones

If you have mounted a 5.0 on the stand using the bellhousing/tranny bolts, (sounds to me like you did), the problem is the engine is not balanced to the stand.
Need to remove bellhousing, clutch, flywheel and mont engine to stand by bolting it on where the bellhousing would mount to the block.
Yep, you need differant bolts now. I've never used a grade 8 bolt to hold block to stand in 30+ years. I've done some real heavy heavy big blocks too. (426 Hemi) Grade 5 all you need, buy at hardware store.....

nope the bellhousing is off, do i have the bolts in the wrong spots? do you have to bolt it up in another spot? maybe thats causing it to be un leveled?

The bolts should be in the same holes as the bellhousing mounts to the block with.
Sometimes you need to sort of 'reangle' the arms on the stand to get thingssss so that you can rotate the whole easy.
I use a piece of 1/2" water pipe about 3 feet long for a rotator tool also.....
