95 auto GT- rpms with 3.73 or 4.10 gears?
I was wondering, Im am about to either do the 3.73 or 4.10 gears and was curious on what some of you with these gears in a 5.0 are turning. I have 95 gt vert w/ auto (which really sux) and looking at installing a 5 speed couple years down the road. Until then, i need a little more zoom, so going to install new set of gears to get off the line quicker. Does anybody know what rpms I would be turning cruising down the highway at 65mph in Overdrive? The only other mod for the engine is a cold air intake so its basically factory. Im thinking the 3.73's would be a happy medium for speed off the line, and still be somewhat economical. Any help greatly appreciated.. also, what is considered "factory" for a 95 gt vert automatic for gears? I do plan on looking on the pumpkin, but have to wait until spring (in storage now). thanks

no question go with the 4:10's. i have an 89 aod with 4:10 and they rock. They pull so much harder then 3:73. i didnt see much of a difference in gas either maybe a loss of a gallon that about it. but yeah autos need 4:10
