Default clutch

Have 1990 5.0 lx the problem I'm having is the clutch is hard to in when I first use the car then if it sits awhile once the car warms up though it is alot easier to push but still takes alittle effort. It does not slip or anyrhing like that. It worked fine when I put it in 2 years ago, already change the cable still kinda hardto push.. It is the king cobra clutch... any help would be greatly appreciated

The king Cobra clutch is a very stiff clutch. It probably just feels like it is getting easier to use when it warms up. I have one in my 96 GT and a stock clutch in my 85 and It feels like I'm going to put my foot through the floor on the 85 if I drive them both on the same day because the stock clutch is so easy to push in.

throwout bearing retainer possibly? is it stock or you did a steel one?

maybe cold grease on it also...then when it heats up the bearing rides easier on the retainer ? just a guess though.

cable and bearing retainer seem like the only 2 things that could be affected by temp
