Can someone please tell if there is an easy way to get the darn "metal"double sided tape off on the door mouldings. I got several friggin cuts already from the darn knife slipping, proabably should go to to hospital...LOL Any advice?

They sell a liquid that breaks down that adhesive stick. You might want to start there.

use a heat gun or a hair dryer good luck

Heat gun, yea I forgot about that. Get it started then use that heat gun to peal it back slowly.

we used a torch and would heat the molding real hot get the edge of the metal insert just coming lose and the take a pair of needle nose and then roll them off like a you would open a can.the heat gun would also work.why dont you just clean the tape off the metal then put the tape back on the metal?or is the metal messed up?

Yeah the metal is wasted. My bonehead brother in law decided to rip the moldings off the donor car while we were at the pick a part, instead of waiting for me to come back with a putty knife. Talk about pissed!!! Oh well, thanks for the advise...I used a heat gun and it peeled right off. I wish I would have thought about it sooner before I butchered my hand!!!!Thanks again....

You can use anything to heat it up then it should come off a little easier.
