Default RE: CAI ?

Thats great that a 75 & 76mm MAF on a Mac CAI works for a 65mm TB, but I'm wanting a 70mm TB to run on a performer intake that is recommended for that manifold. If I run a Mac CAI with a 75 or 76mm MAF & a 70mm TB, then wouldn't that make my intake pretty much all the same diameter? What do you guys think about a 73mm MAF on that same setup? That way all my diameters will be even closer together.

A 65 to 70mm TB will work good with that 73mm Maf.

Does anybody know if the C&L 76mm MAF with their sampleing tube will fit the Edelbrock Performer intake, Edelbrock adapter & Edelbrock TB? I've read that if its not the stock intake, adapter, & TB then it might not fit.

To Tchamber, what size is your TB? I'm wanting a 70mm TB with a 76mm MAF on a MAC CAI. Just wanting to know how it would perform, Any input from anyone else? It would be greatly appreciated.
I have a 70mm BBK tbody. But I also have ported heads and what not. One thing to keep in mind is that sure, a large MAF will let lots of air in, but the larger the volume of a given part, in general that means the lower the velocity of the air coming in. That can mean less HP.

Also, you should have always have a MAF just a bit larger than your tbody, as the MAF is tapered a bit, which increases the velocity of the air coming in. Yes, Black Snake is right, a MAF will work with ANY intake.
