car won't start.
it has been very very cold here. i started the car up last night aroun 10 pm and it was fine. i came out this morning around 830 and it cranks but won't start. will a jump fix this problem? the car is currently on the street and I needto get it to a garage, so any help on starting it would be greatly appreciated.

RE: car won't start.
if it doesn't crank fast enough it might not start, I've had that problem many times. If you have a old worn out distributer cap and rotor the speed at which the starter cranks the engine could play a huge roll in wether or not it will fire. I'de try jumping it first, if that don't work plug in your block heater for a few hours (assuming you have one). And try it again. If it still doesn't work after that, I'de assume either your gas lines are frozen (not likely unless it was like -60) or the unlikely chance something is wrong with your ignition system or fuel system. But you said it started the night before no problem, so it's probably something to do with the cold, a weak battery providing a weak spark is my guess..
