I can say that the 302 and 351W will have the same bolt pattern for the bell houseing ,

I dont know about the shifting in the 91 auto

You got a lot of work to do 2 trans swaps is going to suck . But they are just nut and bolt jobs you alredy got what you need in both cars it might just be EZ to trad cars instead

My dad did a trans swap for me, my 91 gt convertible had an aod, the 84 GT hatchback had a t5. the convertible works well, the 84 still sits in my backyard, DO NOT lose the neutral safety switch for the auto, the car with auto wont key start normally without it, also if the 351 is carbed i think you need a custom kickdown cable. I think it might just be easier for me to find a used t5 and put it in my 84 instead of trying to figure out the auto. The swap took 3 days at roush, 8 hours each day, that was with all tools and equipment readily available, and we had great lighting, plus like i said we still havent hooked up the auto. My advice, buy a used t5, clutch assembly, flywheel, pedals, shifter bezel, and clutch cable for your 91. It should be worth it plus you could get some of the money back by selling the auto trans
