RE: Cold Air Intake question
yeah i already have the k&n filter in my car, but i had heard people talking about how a CAI can give you some power gains that are noticeable. i guess they were wrong.

Yeh they are... I didnt notice anything in power, Just noticed a extreme sucking sound during hard accelarations. If your going to get a CAI, go with BBK. They have a great kit. not cutting!

RE: Cold Air Intake question
I bought my Ebay CAI and it was the most peice of **** CAI that I have ever seen. It took me sooo long to modify it just so that it would fit. Don't go cheap, get a name brand and don't buy ebay CAI's.

RE: Cold Air Intake question
With ebay its a hit or miss. Its either going to fit and be OK or its not going to fit and its going to be a waste of $30 bucks. Also, theres a 99% chance that you will not feel a gain (you might pick up 2 or 3hp) but I think the sound of air sucking in makes you feel like you might have some power I wouldnt go without one. They look & sound great. Personally, I wouldnt waste me time with an intake off of ebay. Just suck it up and spend the extra money.

I wouldnt get any CAI from Ebay. I heard some bad things about people buying kits off of their and having to modify it in like 5 places to get it to work. I mean, its cheap but remember; you get what you pay for. I personally wouldnt waste me money.

I got my CAI on e-bay. my reason was more for looks.... whick is why i didnt bother with the expensive ones. it was $35 and fit fine.... except for one thing
the bastard that sent it to me, sent a silicone coupler that was too small.... no big deal though. i just boiled some water, softened it up and stretched it.. hehe
ive got a k+n that ill sell ya.. lol

RE: Cold Air Intake question
Well I could only find a MAC CAI, i have a 1988 ford mustang gt 5.0 so i have the speed density version because of no mass air flow chip, so where did anybody find a BBK CAI for a 1988 mustang with the fenderwell?

RE: Cold Air Intake question
i bought the bbk with the fenderwell mount and it fits like a dream i would recommend cause it looks really well under the hood but no real performance gains out of it
