Default Advice on engine computers

Had the car to the dyno today. The air/fuel mixture should be around 12:1. At 3000 rmp the F/A mixture was 17:1..... basic driving around. When we were ramping it up to 5500 RPM, the F/A mixture went below 10:1. My Dyno guy tells me I need to by a new "CHIP" for my stock computer.
So now I need to know what the best value for a chip for my 95 GT. He was suggesting MOTEC.

Any suggestions or advice??

Are you all running your cars, with all the performance upgrades, on the original computer that came with the car?

Well the sn95's computer is very sensitive when it comes to a H/C/I set up...i know diablo makes a good chip but my car did'nt require one,im just running a reman A9L with a little bit of self tuning it runs great.

What sort of self tuning did you do? Have you ever checked the Fuel/air mixture ratio?? My car seems to be running fine, but my dyno guy tells me that by getting the right fuel air mixture, I'll get another 50-60 horse, then we can start working with the timing to get even more. Some sort of computer is the only way to get this done.
